Biography

Reid is a trial lawyer who has called Athens home for nearly 20 years. Over the course of his career, he has tried more than 50 jury trials to verdict, and he brings that courtroom experience to every case he handles. His practice focuses on personal injury and business litigation, and he prides himself on listening to his clients and representing their interests with diligence and attention to detail. Reid graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in 2012. During law school, he served on the Moot Court Executive Board, was a Pupil of the Bleckley Inn of Court, and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for Professor Ellen Taylor. His Moot Court team reached the semi-finals at the Inter-American Sustainable Development Law Moot Court Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before law school, Reid attended the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2005 and a Master of Historic Preservation in 2009. Reid spent nearly six years as a prosecutor, serving the community and fighting for victims of crime. He tried all types of criminal cases before juries, including DUIs, felony drug offenses, and murder. That prosecutorial background sharpened his trial skills and gave him a deep understanding of how to build and present a case. His civil litigation experience spans personal injury, business and commercial disputes, construction matters, and estate litigation.
