Mr. Fortas began his career as the managing partner of the Georgia division of Krohn and Moss, Ltd. Consumer Law Center from 1999-2005. At that time his trial and appellate cases helped to sculpt the current consumer advocacy laws in Georgia. In 2006, Scott founded the Fortas Law Group to provide additional legal assistance to those in need of traffic and criminal defense. He has handled thousands of traffic cases, diligently working to minimize the impact of traffic infractions. Mr. Fortas has successfully litigated and settled hundreds of serious criminal cases, high-dollar personal injury claims, and lemon law/consumer fraud cases against automobile manufacturers and dealerships for Georgia drivers. Scott joined Hawkins, Spizman, Fortas in 2018 to further develop his practice and continue to fight for those in need. He heads the firm’s traffic and consumer advocacy divisions.
