Biography
Theresa Rizer brings over 34 years of Michigan family law experience to Haque Legal, PLC. Licensed since May 1993, she has represented clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives — divorce, custody disputes, and parenting time modifications — in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb County circuit courts.
Theresa is the firm’s lead family law attorney. Her practice covers the full spectrum of Michigan family law: divorce and property division, child custody under MCL 722.23’s 12 best interest factors, parenting time, child support modification, spousal support, fathers’ rights, and prenuptial agreements.
Clients consistently describe Theresa’s courtroom advocacy as calm, focused, and effective. She is known for her ability to explain complex legal processes clearly, keep clients grounded under pressure, and fight hard when the situation demands it.
