Recent News: Madigan Army Medical Center Won’t Appeal $12.3M Verdict for Surgery That Burned Child Tim Ceder has dedicated his career to advocating for individuals and serving his community. A lifelong Washington native, Tim brings a deep commitment to helping those in need, whether through his legal practice, military service, or civic engagement. Prior to his legal career, Tim graduated from the University of Washington and worked as a cabinetmaker at his family’s business, Milton Millwork. After several years there, he departed Washington to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law. Graduating in December 2010 Order of the Coif, he held positions as a clerk with the US Attorney’s Office and as an Editor on Oregon Law Review. Following graduation, Tim commissioned as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy. Focusing on litigation, Tim represented servicemembers at courts-martial worldwide, including several years with the Government Appellate Division in Washington, D.C. After a decade on active duty, Tim transitioned to the Navy Reserves in 2020 and returned to the Puget Sound region with his wife and two daughters to begin his civilian career. Back in Washington, Tim worked as an assistant attorney general in the Torts Division of the Washington Attorney General’s Office in Tacoma. He became an active member of the local legal community, joining the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association and later the Washington State Association for Justice. And he deepened his involvement in public service, being elected to the Milton City Council and serving on numerous regional advisory boards for transportation and growth management. In 2022, he transitioned to private practice, representing individual servicemembers charged with crimes and representing individuals with personal injury actions.
