Biography
"Travis has always been fascinated by the idea that you could use logic, passion, reasoning and advocacy to help someone achieve justice."
Travis Patterson is the Managing Partner of Patterson Law Group, a Fort Worth–based personal injury firm he built with his wife and law partner Anna and his father Mike on a single belief: the personal injury law space had lost its way, and someone had to reclaim it. What started as a family-led firm has grown into one of the most respected plaintiffs' practices in Texas — with offices in Fort Worth, Arlington, and San Antonio, more than $100 million recovered for clients, and the highest reported wrongful death settlement in Texas in 2024.
Travis earned both his business degree and his law degree from The University of Texas at Austin. During undergrad he served as President of the Texas Cowboys — the campus leadership organization made up of officers from UT's fraternities, athletic teams, and student government — and counts firing Smokey the Cannon at home football games among his favorite memories. Before founding PLG, he practiced at Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller in Fort Worth and Haynes and Boone in Dallas, served as a visiting prosecutor in the Arlington Municipal Court, and clerked in law school for the Honorable Lawrence E. Meyers at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals — where he crossed paths with the woman who would become his wife and law partner, Anna Patterson.
Travis has been named a Texas Super Lawyer, a Fort Worth Magazine and 360West Top Attorney multiple years running, a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, and an AVVO 10.0 "Superb" rated attorney. He holds Life Membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and membership in the $100 Million Dollar Club. In 2022, Fort Worth, Inc. named him its Entrepreneur of Excellence in the professional services category — a recognition of the vision, creativity, and integrity that have helped make Fort Worth a premier place to do business. In 2024, his team secured the highest reported wrongful death settlement in the State of Texas.
