Biography
When Las Vegas homeowners face foreclosure, the attorney they choose matters more than most realize. At Fox, Imes & Crosby, LLC, our foreclosure defense practice is built on credentials most firms simply don’t carry. One of our attorneys serves as a mediator for the federal mortgage modification program, giving us direct working knowledge of how lenders document cases and how mediators assess good-faith participation. Another, Troy Fox, serves as a court-appointed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. That institutional perspective from inside the system shapes how we build every foreclosure defense strategy.
Our team brings over 50 years of combined legal experience serving homeowners throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. We handle foreclosure defense alongside bankruptcy representation under Chapters 7, 11, and 13, so clients don’t need to switch counsel if circumstances change. Full legal services are available in both English and Spanish, and initial consultations are available to help you evaluate your options before making any decisions.

Fox, Imes & Crosby, LLC was among the first firms in Las Vegas to participate in the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program. In Clark County, the program is administered by the Eighth Judicial District Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Department. Since September 1, 2017, eligible homeowners have been able to petition for mediation as a structured alternative to allowing foreclosure to proceed unchallenged.
To participate, a homeowner must file a Petition for Foreclosure Mediation with the District Court within 30 days of receiving a Notice of Default on a primary owner-occupied residence. The ADR Office assigns a mediator within 10 days of an Answer being filed, and mediation must be conducted within 90 days of that assignment. Homeowners with an open bankruptcy proceeding aren’t eligible. Under Nevada law, a Certificate from Home Means Nevada must be recorded before a trustee’s sale can proceed on any owner-occupied property.
