Biography
At Ford Law Office, we understand that a dispute over West Virginia Oil and Gas rights on family property is about more than the financial outcome. If you need a West Virginia Oil and Gas attorney, you want someone with experience and compassion.
Attorney William Ford—delivers personalized service and individual attention, and has the deep experience required to provide top-notch legal services. Bill values hard work, persistence, and responsibility, and these principles form the foundation of the firm’s work and relationships.
William “Bill” Ford’s exposure to the oil and gas industry predates his education as a lawyer. Bill learned about the oil and gas drilling process while serving as a deckhand on offshore oilfield supply boats in the Gulf of Mexico out of Venice, Louisiana for two summers in college and law school.
Just a couple of years out of law school, Bill assisted oil and gas developer clients with title searches and lease negotiations until OPEC dropped the price of oil in the spring of 1984, putting the oil and gas industry into chaos. Due in part to his oil and gas experience, Bill was offered a position with the Fort Worth Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an enforcement attorney.
Bill spent the next three years investigating and prosecuting securities law violations in connection with multimillion-dollar oil and gas investment programs.
