Biography

William P. Means is a founding partner of Roberts Means Roncevic Kapela LLC and was named an Indiana Super Lawyer® for 2024 - 2025. Your case is unique, and your case requires the careful attention and analysis that RMRK provides. Bill’s approach to family law matters is to guide the firm’s clients through life-changing events with a combination of tact, sensitivity, and problem-solving. Not every case requires a hammer-like approach, and for those matters Bill will do everything he can to steer your case to an efficient and agreeable resolution. Having said that, everyone has a line beyond which they will not compromise. That issue may revolve around a parenting time schedule, distribution of the marital estate, or another matter upon which a compromise is not reached. In those instances, Bill draws upon his extensive litigation and courtroom experience to zealously advocate for your best interests. Bill began his twenty-plus years as a licensed attorney working on complex commercial contract disputes, which provided him with an excellent understanding of litigation techniques and courtroom experience. Since focusing his practice on family law over fifteen years ago, Bill has acquired a wealth of experience in analyzing and resolving complex marital estates, navigating and winning highly contentious custody disputes, along with the many other areas that family law touches upon. Bill’s favorite part of his work is going to court. From the perspective of the attorney, it is a unique intellectual and professional challenge. However, Bill recognizes that for the client, going to court can be an emotionally and financially draining endeavor. Making the decision to go to court is difficult, and Bill will guide you in making the best decision for you and your family.
